These prints are made with crushed rocks found in a nearby creek in south Vancouver. The natural pigments are rubbed and sprinkled onto the drawing matrices.
A paper stencil is used to create patterns that will define the shape of the cores. The resulting charcoal monotypes reveal many layers, like a stratigraphic history of the process.
